CLAS awards grants to graduate students in support of field research (both pre-dissertation proposal and post-proposal) and teaching assistantships in the Latin American Civilization course sequence. Our students have enjoyed unparalleled success leveraging their early field research grants from CLAS to win major external fellowship support such as Fulbright-Hays, Fulbright-IIE, Mellon, SSRC, Wenner-Gren, and others.
CLAS BA students have been quite successful in applications to the International Experience Grant program as well as to the Summer International Travel Grant Program. Students who are preparing proposals or projects are encouraged to reach out to CLAS for support.
