Spanish & Portuguese
At the University of Chicago, language acquisition courses in Spanish and Portuguese are administered through the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures during the academic year and the Summer Language Institute during the summer. CLAS supports additional curricular enrichment activities for Portuguese, such as the Illinois Portuguese Language Connection, which connects UChicago students to their peers at the Univeristy of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Northwestern University.
